Holonym Foundation Partners with Ethereum Liquid Restaking Protocol to Fortify Human Keys Security

Ethereum

Holonym Foundation has teamed up with Renzo Protocol, a liquid restaking protocol on Ethereum, to bolster the security of the Mishti network and enhance its digital identity solution called Human Keys.

Collaboration with Renzo Protocol on Mishti Network

The Holonym Foundation, known for its focus on Digital Identity Solutions, announced its partnership with Renzo Protocol, which will commit $800 million in ezETH to improve the security of Holonym’s Mishti Network.

Utilizing the infrastructure of Ethereum and EigenLayer, along with its node operators, the protocol will assist in the secure generation of Human Keys. This partnership allows users to generate keys via biometrics or social media while maintaining flexibility and robust security.

Nanak Nihal Khalsa, co-founder of Holonym Foundation, remarked that this collaboration aims to enhance user accessibility: “By partnering with Renzo Protocol, we’re ensuring that our Mishti Network is secure, making Human Keys more accessible than ever.”

Launched earlier this year, Holonym’s Mishti Network is a decentralized chain for Human Keys, designed to facilitate the creation of secure and private keys rooted in human characteristics, thus streamlining the management of crypto wallets across any blockchain.

Shady El Damaty, another co-founder of Holonym Foundation, pointed out that Mishti Network enables users to manage their keys without relying on centralized authorities. “Traditional authentication methods like passwords and biometric scans can now be decentralized, without needing third parties like Apple or Google,” he clarified.

Holonym’s Innovative Digital Identity Solution

With its Mishti Network, Holonym Foundation has crafted a system that empowers users globally to establish Human Keys. The goal is to simplify the crypto wallet experience and make it user-friendly for both beginners and experienced blockchain enthusiasts.

El Damaty emphasized that Human Keys enable the company to extend the advantages of cryptocurrency globally, leveraging zero-knowledge technology alongside Ethereum’s security:

Human Keys are our avenue for providing crypto’s benefits – security, privacy, data ownership – to users everywhere. We focus on the person behind the technology, allowing anyone to create a universal account that works across devices, requires no app, and safeguards privacy through zero-knowledge tech and Ethereum’s security.

Holonym’s digital identity solution strives to provide a decentralized framework for users to create, recover, and manage secure cryptographic keys, minimizing reliance on centralized entities and protecting user data.

The system operates under a zero-trust model within the decentralized network, ensuring that personal data remains confidential. El Damaty elaborated:

The OPRF derivation facilitates secure computation on encrypted biometric information, enabling authentication by untrustworthy parties without access to the actual data. This introduces new possibilities that weren’t previously achievable.

The importance of security and privacy protection continues to be a pivotal discussion in the industry, with influential voices like Ethereum’s founder Vitalik Buterin supporting the idea of “Public DeFi, but private wallets.”
