Recently, Binance announced that it will remove three tokens from its platform. The tokens affected are Kaon (AKRO), Bluzelle (BLZ), and WazirX (WRX), with the delisting set to take place on December 25, 2024, at 03:00 UTC. This decision follows Binance’s standard asset review process to ensure that all listed tokens comply with industry regulations and standards.
Important Dates and Affected Services
The delisting procedure starts on December 18, 2024, when margin borrowings for these tokens will be halted. By December 23, any outstanding margin accounts will automatically cash out, converting any leftover tokens to USDT within 24 hours.
The official announcement indicates that trading pairs such as AKRO/USDT, BLZ/BTC, BLZ/USDT, and WRX/USDT will no longer be available post-delisting. Users are encouraged to check for small balances in their wallets for easier tracking of these assets. After February 25, 2025, withdrawals of the tokens will not be possible.
Additionally, services like Futures, Margin, and Auto-Invest related to these tokens will be discontinued starting December 18, 2024. Binance Convert will retain a sell-only option until December 25, 2024, while services like Gift Card and Trading Bots will also end by this date.
Guidance for Users
Binance has stressed the need for users to manage their holdings effectively, close their positions, and transfer their assets to mitigate losses during this transition period. Users can move their assets from Margin to Spot Wallets prior to the deadlines to avoid liquidation risks. Deposits of these tokens will not be allowed after December 26, and withdrawals will stop on February 25, 2025.
The exchange remains committed to fostering a transparent and sustainable cryptocurrency ecosystem through these changes.
