Nashville Hosts Bitcoin Education Initiative

The third Bitcoin Education Unconference details have been released by Mi Primer Bitcoin. Following gatherings in San Salvador and Madeira, the upcoming event is scheduled for July 24 at The Cordelle in Nashville.

Presented with seasoned BTC experts, the Unconference aims to “educate and empower the world.” Exclusive to Bitcoin, it fosters collaboration and networking among cryptocurrency enthusiasts.

Participants are encouraged to engage by proposing ideas and arranging session slots. The event operates in a decentralized and collaborative manner, incorporating feedback from all attendees.

Renowned figures like Jeff Booth, Preston Pysh, and Ben Perrin, along with global educators and enthusiasts, have been part of past Unconference editions.

Promoting Crypto Education Worldwide

The El Salvador-based nonprofit, Mi Primer Bitcoin, concentrates on BTC education. It collaborates with the country’s Ministry of Education to advocate for adoption and financial empowerment.

As per Bitrabo, the organization initiated a program to introduce cryptocurrency education in El Salvador’s public schools by 2024. In partnership with Bitcoin Beach, aiming to create a sustainable BTC economy, the Ministry of Education leads this effort.

A pilot program is underway to train 700 public school teachers, who will then educate students using the BTC diploma curriculum. In April, 97 teachers completed the program, with three new groups commencing their crypto education in the same month.

The BTC Diploma launched in early 2022 and has gained global recognition. It covers a range of topics, from fiat money and its challenges to aspects of the flagship cryptocurrency.

The 2023 workbook, available in 23 languages, has been taught worldwide, from Uruguay to South Korea.

The founder of Mi Primer Bitcoin, John Dennehy, remains committed to the vision of spreading BTC education globally.

El Salvador’s Bitcoin adoption makes it a pioneering nation. Our goal is to lead by example and impact the world through education. This journey may sound ambitious, but the Bitcoin Diploma is a significant step in this direction.
