Recent Performance of Spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs in the US

In recent weeks, spot Bitcoin ETFs in the United States have shown remarkable market performance, concluding the last trading week with their best single-day results in nearly four months. The upbeat investor attitude toward these ETFs appears to have positively influenced both Bitcoin and the broader cryptocurrency market, which has bounced back significantly following a downturn earlier in September.

US Bitcoin ETFs Achieve Almost $500 Million in Daily Inflows

On September 27, the US spot Bitcoin ETF sector saw a substantial net inflow totaling $494.27 million, marking its highest level since June 4 when it drew in $886 million. This impressive performance follows a robust day just a day prior, where net inflows exceeded $365 million.

As reported by SoSoValue, Ark Invest and 21Shares’ ARKB topped the list with $203 million in inflows, followed by Fidelity’s FBTC with $124 million. BlackRock’s IBIT gained momentum too, attracting more than $110 million.

Additionally, Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) experienced a rare influx with $26.15 million channeling into it, marking its best inflow since mid-May amid the transition to spot Bitcoin ETFs. Consequently, the total net inflows for Bitcoin ETFs over the week reached an impressive $1.11 billion, marking the third consecutive week of billion-dollar inflows.

Spot Ethereum ETFs Mark Their Second Positive Week

The success of the Bitcoin ETFs appears to have motivated the Ethereum ETFs, which recorded their second positive trading week since their introduction. Over the past week, Ethereum funds accumulated a total net inflow of approximately $84.51 million.

On the same Friday, the net inflow of spot Ethereum ETFs hit around $58.6 million. According to data from SoSoValue, Fidelity’s FETH led with an influx of $42.5 million, and BlackRock’s ETHA followed at $11.46 million.

ETF analyst Nate Geraci highlighted via X that the BlackRock Ethereum ETF has surpassed the $1 billion asset mark just two months into its launch, placing it within the top 20% of more than 3,700 ETFs available in the US.
