Cardano’s Expansion into Gaming Industry Celebrated by Hoskinson

Cardano Gaming Chronoshot

The Epic Games Store recently added the Cardano-powered Chronoshot game to its wishlist, marking a significant milestone for the game developer and the ADA ecosystem. Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, expressed his enthusiasm for this achievement, stating, “Cardano Games on Epic makes me happy.”

A New Era of Cardano-Powered Gaming

The sci-fi shooter game Chronoshot brings a unique game mechanic to the table where time only progresses when the player is in motion. This strategic element allows players to plan their moves, shoot accurately, and outwit their opponents, enhancing the game’s tactical complexity. The game is currently in the early access phase and is open for wishlisting on the Epic Games Store, a prominent digital distribution platform in the gaming industry.

RFLXT, the development company behind Chronoshot, unveiled the game’s early access launch on X, sharing, “Big news! Chronoshot is now available for wishlisting on Epic Games joining Chains of War & Flux Point Studio. We’re launching FREE early access to give more people ways to check out the game & our platform over the next few months of development.”

Striving for community engagement, RFLXT opted for an open beta phase, allowing the community to be actively involved in the game’s evolution and providing valuable user feedback. The company’s approach focuses on transparency and inclusivity, offering a more immersive gaming experience for all players.

RFLXT is working towards a seamless integration of its platform with Epic Games to enable a unified gaming experience. This integration will enable players to utilize a single RFLXT account across both platforms, fostering crossplay functionalities and uninterrupted gameplay. The company also announced the beta launch of their platform with Chronoshot and other partner Cardano games, aiming to showcase these developments at RareEvo.

Integrating the Cardano blockchain, Chronoshot features dynamic NFTs that introduce innovative leveling mechanisms for characters, catering to all players, including those not familiar with blockchain technology. These NFTs are designed to maintain game balance by not providing any competitive advantages.

In its Early Access version, Chronoshot includes two single-player modes, Time Attack and Survival, both featuring leaderboards. The developers plan to introduce a multiplayer mode shortly after the Early Access launch to further refine the gameplay based on user feedback. Although a specific release date has not been disclosed, the full version of Chronoshot is expected to be launched by the end of 2024.

Chronoshot ensures a seamless gaming experience by eliminating the need for an external wallet to play. However, players have the option to connect an external wallet to their RFLXT account for added flexibility. The game will remain free-to-play, with cosmetic in-game items such as skins available for purchase, devoid of any impact on gameplay.

Cardano’s current trading value stands at $0.383.
