A novel marketplace for trading SHIB Name Tokens has been launched by D3 Global, a renowned DNS domain provider partnered with Shiba Inu. The beta version of D3 Marketplace now offers users the ability to buy, sell, or make offers on Name Tokens, starting with Shiba Inu-themed top-level domain (TLD) names such as .shib and .core.
The platform streamlines the transaction process by integrating directly into the Web3 ecosystem, making it convenient for users. D3 announced the beta launch of the D3 Marketplace, inviting users to engage in this innovative trading experience.
Anticipated Offerings for Shiba Inu Enthusiasts
The marketplace introduces a user-friendly search function for checking the availability of specific TLD names. Interested buyers can acquire a name for around $10 annually, with payment options including cryptocurrencies and traditional credit cards.
One distinctive feature of the marketplace is its support for payments using Shiba Inu ecosystem tokens SHIB and BONE, facilitated through Shibarium. This mechanism enables transactions without the need to bridge these tokens to the Ethereum network, simplifying the payment process.
In December 2023, Shiba Inu led the integration of a TLD in the global cryptocurrency market. Subsequently, major crypto projects like Gate.io, Casper Network, Core Network, and Viction collaborated with D3 to launch their respective TLDs.
The Shib Name Tokens offer various utilities such as serving as usernames across web3 platforms, multi-chain wallet addresses, and infrastructure identifiers, streamlining interactions on decentralized web platforms.
Strong market interest in Shib Name Tokens has been evident since the initial sales in March, with thousands of names being purchased, including premium ones like ‘my*shib’ sold for $2,000. The standard registration price is set at $10 per year, with additional premium features at higher tiers.
