The Shiba Eternity project has undergone a transformation and is now known as Shiba Inu Games, revealed recently. Operating under the moniker @PlayWithShib on X, the rebranded entity is dedicated to expanding its presence in the gaming arena by developing additional games for the SHIB ecosystem. This strategic shift was communicated through an announcement on X, urging followers to stay updated on the evolving Shiba Inu gaming landscape.
The team shared on their social media platform, “Hey gamers of Shib, we’re transforming into PlayWithShib! Your ultimate destination for all things Shib gaming – stay tuned for updates and more exciting news.” Shytoshi Kusama, the primary developer of Shiba Inu, commended the rebranding and the team’s new focus with a tweet expressing enthusiasm for the move towards future game development.
This rebranding follows the establishment of Shiba Eternity back in July 2022, initially centered around the Shiba Eternity game. The mobile game was launched in October 2022, generated active engagement on X (previously Twitter) initially, and later went through a period of dormancy. It made a comeback on July 16, 2024, introducing a closed beta of the game, marking it as the first Shibarium-based game.
Shiba Inu Diversifies Gaming Portfolio
Expanding their gaming lineup, Shiba Inu Games has unveiled “Agent Shiboshi” recently, a new side-scrolling shooter game featuring a Shiba Inu named Shiboshi in the undercover role of a secret agent combating the “Shadowcats.” The game incorporates an in-game currency system allowing players to collect funds by defeating foes, which can then be utilized to upgrade their characters’ equipment and weapons.
Lucie, the marketing leader at Shiba Inu, detailed the game’s mechanics through an X post, stating, “Agent Shiboshi is an upcoming side-scrolling shooter produced by Shiba Inu Games, starring Shiboshi as a secret agent battling the mysterious Shadowcats. Players can earn in-game currency through combat to enhance their weaponry and gear.”
She mentioned that “Agent Shiboshi” is an integral part of the larger Shib ecosystem, with plans for an initial release on traditional web2 platforms, followed by integration into Shibarium. Lucie disclosed, “The game will debut on Web2 platforms and later on Shibarium. Expect a Web3 version soon. It will be downloadable on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for both iOS and Android devices.”

Earlier in the same month, she hinted at the forthcoming release of not just “Agent Shiboshi” but also “Shiboshi Rush,” another game falling under the Shiba Inu umbrella. Lucie described these as “hyper-casual games,” highlighting their design simplicity and entertainment value, catering to players of different proficiency levels.
