The Shiba Inu community takes a significant leap with the unveiling of a closed beta version of Shiba Eternity, its inaugural game on the Shibarium blockchain. Lucie, the marketing lead for Shiba Inu, disclosed the release plan and features of the game in a detailed announcement on X, marking a crucial moment for the meme coin’s evolution into a more utility-driven ecosystem.
Introduction of Shiba Inu’s First Shibarium-Based Game
Lucie’s announcement highlights a complete transformation from the game’s prior version. “Attention Leash Stakers! Closed beta for Shiba Eternity is live. This isn’t just the old game with a few updates—it’s a complete shift to Web3 with significant upgrades,” Lucie revealed.
The game now runs on the Shibarium mainnet, supporting non-fungible tokens (NFTs). This integration enables a decentralized gaming experience, with players’ inventory cards represented as NFTs, ensuring ownership verification and tradeability.
The game’s foundational structure now rests on the Shibarium blockchain, enabling a seamless and secure gaming experience utilizing blockchain technology for asset management and in-game transactions. Furthermore, Shiba Eternity introduces a competitive ranked mode with 15-day tournaments.
Rankings in these tournaments are based on player performance, with rewards distributed according to their final standings. Exclusive tournaments are offered for the top 25 players from the ranked mode, presenting seasonal events with unique rewards.
The game has undergone significant enhancements, including an updated tutorial, refined menu interface, streamlined armory management, enhanced performance, an improved reward system with quests, accelerated game progression, and special welcome gifts for players transitioning from Web2 versions.
Upcoming Release Schedule
Initial access to the closed beta of Shiba Eternity was granted on August 21 to LEASH token stakers, enabling them to connect their smart wallets via ShibaSwap for game participation. This phase aims to gather user feedback and ensure stability before a broader release.
Subsequently, on September 5, access will be extended to holders of specific NFTs within the Shiba Inu ecosystem, such as The Shiboshis and The Shiba Eternity Lore collections. An open beta release date is yet to be revealed. Lucie mentioned, “No LEASH or NFTs? No worries! The open beta is forthcoming, providing an opportunity for everyone to enter the Dogjo.”
Lucie also issued a security advisory emphasizing caution against scams and urged users to connect their wallets only through official platforms, avoid unknown source links on X or elsewhere, manually enter official website addresses, and verify before connecting their wallets.
