Shiba Inu is in the final stages of integrating its popular game, Shiba Eternity, with its dedicated layer-2 blockchain, Shibarium. Lucie, the marketing head at Shiba Inu, announced that the Shiba Eternity Web3 upgrade is on the horizon.
Shiba Eternity Embraces Web3
Lucie hailed this upgrade as a significant advancement for the game, ushering in new features and blockchain-driven dynamics. Players can look forward to engaging in ranked tournaments and blockchain-based card battles in the Shibatopia arena as part of the Web3 upgrade.
The shift of Shiba Eternity to Shibarium transforms digital cards into valuable web3 assets. Players can now trade and exhibit these assets, enhancing their collectibility and tradability compared to the game’s former web2 version.
The revamped structure of Shiba Eternity also brings forth a competitive framework. Players begin as White Belts and strive to progress through 14 divisions within cycles that span 15 days, earning points based on victories and losses akin to traditional competitive games.
With the upgrade, cards obtained during gameplay are converted into NFTs directly on Shibarium, granting players ownership rights over their digital assets for trading, selling, or holding purposes.
Moreover, the game showcases over 10,000 unique Shiboshis heroes, each with distinct abilities that influence gameplay strategy. These heroes play a crucial role in each player’s deck, shaping the gameplay dynamics.
Thus, Shiba Eternity offers a more intricate gameplay experience where players strategically construct a 30-card deck and manage their “Bark” pool, similar to mana in other card games, to execute attacks, defenses, and special abilities and aim to deplete the opponent’s stamina to secure victory.
