The Elon Musk-themed Telegram game, *X Empire*—formerly known as *Musk Empire*—has revealed a significant update regarding its development. The game’s “mining phase” will officially come to an end on September 30, signaling an important transition as the project gears up for an anticipated airdrop.

*X Empire* operates as a tap-to-earn game where players accumulate points through gameplay. With the conclusion of the mining phase, players have less than a month remaining to gather as many points as possible before the airdrop, which is expected to occur in late September or early October. After September 30, any progress made within the game will no longer count towards the token distribution, marking the end of an era for *X Empire*.

The development team behind *X Empire* has been preparing for this transition by taking measures such as burning in-game coins from inactive accounts—those that haven’t been accessed in 30 days or more. This action is part of the broader strategy to ensure a smooth airdrop process, which is one of the final major steps for the project.

The game’s upcoming airdrop has drawn comparisons to *Notcoin*, another Telegram-based crypto game known for its successful token launch. Like *X Empire*, *Notcoin* also ended its mining phase before moving toward a token airdrop. However, in *Notcoin*’s case, the airdrop didn’t take place immediately after the mining phase concluded; instead, it occurred over a month later following a brief delay to ensure a seamless launch.

Similarly, it’s anticipated that *X Empire* will require a similar period after the end of its mining phase to finalize preparations for the airdrop. The official communication from the team reads: “We have less than a month before our project enters the next phase. After that, the gameplay will pause as we move on to token distribution, and the *X Empire* app will introduce a new product that’s here to stay, evolving and growing alongside all of us.”

This announcement suggests that, like *Notcoin*, *X Empire* intends to keep its player base engaged even after the airdrop by introducing a new product or feature. *Notcoin* successfully maintained player interest post-airdrop by launching a story-driven game in collaboration with *The Open Network* NFT collection, *Lost Dogs*. What *X Empire* plans to unveil remains to be seen, but the potential for innovative updates is clear.

This news follows closely on the heels of another major Telegram game, *Hamster Kombat*, which recently announced that its airdrop will take place on September 26. *Hamster Kombat* boasts the largest Telegram channel in the world, adding to the growing excitement and competition within the space.
