ZKSync is a ZK rollup protocol that utilizes cryptographic validity proofs to enable efficient and cost-effective transactions on the Ethereum network. By conducting computations off-chain and storing most of the data off-chain, zkSync ensures scalability while maintaining the same security standards as Ethereum.
ZKSync has officially announced the release of the highly anticipated ZK token and airdrop. Recent communication from the ZKsync team has provided clarity on the eligibility criteria and specifics of the airdrop.
The ZK token will have a total token supply of 21 billion, with 3.675 billion ZK (17.5% of the total tokens) being distributed to eligible participants through the airdrop. A significant portion of the ZK tokens (67% of the total supply) is earmarked for the community.
A grand total of 695,232 wallets meet the requirements for the airdrop, with 3.675 billion ZK tokens to be airdropped without any vesting or lock-up periods.

- Eligibility and allocations are based on the March 24th, 2024 snapshot, marking the one-year anniversary of the ZKsync era mainnet launch.
